The Lactation Network & Wildflower
We are so excited to be part of The Lactation Network and Wildflower. These organizations help moms and moms to be get the breastfeeding care they need, at zero additional cost. They are essentially a middle man, offering insurance verification services, and a billing service that your consultant will use directly.

The Lactation Network (TLN) guarantees each mother and baby at least six (but usually an unlimited number) of consultations in home or in office with an IBCLC. They will handle all of the paperwork and bill your insurance directly. This also applies to prenatal breastfeeding education. TLN is essentially a "middle man" company that pays a flat fee to your lactation consultant (LC) and then bills your insurance.
As an independent contractor for TLN, we simply provide the lactation service and are not involved in TLN's insurance billing process. Please reach out directly to TLN for any insurance billing questions. Email: Care@tln.care

The most common insurances accepted by TLN are:
-
VA CCN - Optum East (Veterans only, no spouses/dependents) -- referral required
-
MultiPlan (PHCS, MultiPlan, ValuePoint) - most PPO plans
-
United Health Care (UHC)

Superbills
We are able to provide you with a printed statement including procedural and diagnosis codes for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement, at their discretion. This is commonly done when a client is paying cash for their visit, and are not billing through insurance. This can also be done for clients who have outlined lactation benefits in your insurance plan, but for a plan that we are not in network with, or that we don't work through a third party for.

This superbill will outline what you spent at our office and what procedures were performed. Think of this as out of network billing.

This also applies if you will be receiving chiropractic care or craniosacral therapy with your lactation consults. We still do not accept insurance for chiropractic care or craniosacral therapy.
